Overview

Bushel invoices offer farmers convenient access to expense information, fostering transparency and relationship building. Farmers can easily view and manage invoices through a user-friendly interface, with delivery tickets automatically included for proper documentation. By integrating invoices into the portal, it enhances the value of Bushel and provides a seamless user experience within a single platform.

Discovery

To gather insights and determine the optimal solution for this project, our team conducted interviews with farmers and performed a comparative analysis of existing processes. I closely collaborated with our UX researcher and subject matter experts to gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by farmers. Utilizing this valuable information, I created multiple prototypes and conducted usability tests to ensure that the design effectively addressed the needs of the users.

Solution

The solution for this project involved enhancing the Invoices feature in several ways. These enhances included adding a top-level button for the Make Payment flow, enabling select boxes for allowing multiple payments, creating high-level and detailed views for each invoice and delivery ticket, and incorporating links for cross-referencing. Additionally, the integration of Bushel Wallet into the platform resulted in faster and more efficient financial transactions, reducing reliance on paper checks. As a result, the project successfully improved the user experience and fulfilled the requirements of its users.

Conclusion & Impact

Bushel Invoices provides farmers with a convenient way to access their financial records and payment options. It simplifies expense management, improves transparency, and seamlessly integrates with the Bushel platform. Through interviews, analysis, and usability tests, the solution was enhanced with features such as adding payment options and integrating with Bushel Wallet for faster transactions. The project successfully improved the user experience and met all user requirements.
